When it comes to health the most common shifts I help people make is in regards to how they view nutrition and movement. The common thought pattern is focusing on the physical and aesthetic reasons. When people are more focussed on these reasons the chances of sticking with any type of lifestyle change program declines. When you can switch your mindset to how food and movement will change how you feel, how much more energy and better sleep you will have, and how it will improve your quality of life living with more vitality into your later years, that's when you will have more success and long term results.

There are several ways you can start to shift your mindset. The most important in my opinion is surrounding yourself with others that have the beliefs and mindset you want to have. Whether that be through working with a coach or finding a group of like minded people that will inspire you and motivate you to keep going on the hard days.

Check out this testimonial from one of my clients who has experienced huge changes since starting to dive deep into her health. Her story is extremely motivating and I know she is inspiring her family and friends to make positive steps towards improving their health too!

Kim talks about how changing her mindset around food has changed her life. Now able to do things she hasn't for years.

My hope when I work with clients is that they create the mindset that creating a healthy lifestyle is a lifelong process. That it's a learning process and that things will change along the way, but if they stay consistent with the behaviours and foods that make them FEEL good then they will have longterm success.

Here's another testimonial from a client that has stuck with his lifestyle changes for about a year now. His consistency and dedication to focussing on feeling better has lead him to now want to dive even deeper into his nutrition and exercise programs. He truly has become the CEO of his health!

Sante talks about why he decided to really dive deep into his health and his lightbulb moments.

How you feed your mind and brain will also affect your mindset. What you read, watch and listen to program the thoughts in your head which in turn affects how you think and act. Be mindful of who surround yourself with, find those like minded, supportive and encouraging people to have in your corner.

Everyday say 3-5 things you are grateful for. Say 3-5 positive affirmations about yourself. Practice self care weekly. Get outside and breathe the fresh air daily. Move your body (stretch, walk, exercise) daily. Stay hydrated (drink 2-3 L water) daily.

Remember you deserve to feel good, but it all starts with creating a positive mindset! You got this!
