It was a pleasure to sit down with fellow passionate Registered Massage Therapist, Stephanie Vandenbussche founder of Exeter Massage Therapy on this final day of PHAM- The Power of Touch Day.

Preventative Health Awareness Month concludes with a discussion on the power of touch and the importance of massage therapy to the integrative health model. Our conversation highlights the misconceptions about massage therapy and the wide range of conditions that we can treat. The future of massage therapy lies in prevention and proactive healthcare, with an emphasis on education and communication.

Stephanie has taken the lead in the Massage Therapy profession to be one of the first clinics to host an OSTEOSOUND pop up bone scan clinic featuring the new innovative Health Canada approved Echolight REMS Bone Scan.

Stephanie is committed not only to caring for her patients in a comprehensive and integrative way but she is also determined to bring services and technologies that can improve the health and wellbeing of the people who live in rural communities as they are often forgotten.

The importance of bone health and the role of massage therapy in improving bone quality are also discussed.

The conversation concludes with a call to action for individuals to take control of their health and for the integration of massage therapy in corporate wellness programs.
