Are you aware of the hidden toxins in your home and personal care?

Are you aware of the hidden toxins in your home and personal care?

Preventative health encompasses a wide range of things.

We have the opportunity to consciously decide to take action to improve our mental, physical, emotional and even financial health.

Making lifestyle changes or switching our mindset when it comes to the way we conduct ourselves in our day to day lives does not have to be HUGE or overwhelming task. Implementing simple, small and consistent changes over time can lead to big changes in our health and the health of our environment.

I am super excited to share this video with you as part of our Preventative Health Awareness Month (a.k.a. PHAM) campaign.

In my conversation with Nicola Gauntley I discussed the impact of toxins in our homes and the importance of making simple shifts to decrease our toxic load. We explored the use of a silver infused microfiber cloth for mechanical cleaning and the benefits of these special cloths.

We also discussed the importance of cleaning our mattresses to reduce dust mites (yuck!) and making healthier choices in our laundry products.

Did you know that dryer balls made of 100% New Zealand wool that is sustainably sourced is an effective alternative to fabric softeners.

Lastly, we talked about the fact that our skin is our largest organ and how we can absorb toxins and chemical through it. A simple switch to healthier personal care products can not only greatly reduce our body's toxic load but it also can help to reduce allergies, skin irritations and more. The conversation concludes with a discussion on implementing these changes and giving back to support preventative health initiatives.

Here are some takeaways:

  • Making simple shifts in our daily lives can help decrease our toxic load and improve our health.

Microfiber cloths, especially Norwex microfiber cloths, are effective for mechanical cleaning and reducing the need for chemical cleaners.
Cleaning mattresses and using healthier laundry products can improve our sleep and overall well-being.
Switching to healthier personal care products, such as Norwex skincare, can benefit our skin and the environment.
