April 6 holds a special place in my heart! ♥️

On April 6, 1992, I took a huge leap of faith and opened the doors to Wallis for Wellness.

Passion and purpose has led us here and persistence is what is going to take us forward into a future that we hope is based on prevention

Thirty two years ago, it was my own challenging health journey that sparked a desire within me to create a successful integrative and preventative health clinic.

This concept of health was not common at the time and I knew it would require a great deal of work to earn the respect of my colleagues in allopathic medicine and the persistence to push through resistance in order to create change in the way we approach healthcare in our country.

I have learned and grown so much over the course of the past 3 decades but one thing has remained strong and that is my passion for integrative health and how critically important it is to empower everyday people to shift their mindset from a "pill for an ill" wait until it is broken approach to health to one that is more proactive and preventative.

Wallis for Wellness believes in a "better together as one" philosophy of care and has always worked alongside professionals from both allopathic and complementary medicine to help educate and empower the patients we have the privilege of treating.

We did this by bringing many diverse professionals under the roof of Wallis for Wellness but we also always prided ourselves in reaching beyond our treatment room walls to connect and work together with professionals from a range of disciplines in our community who shared our vision of patient partnered preventative care.

As I reflect on how far we have come and the successes we have had, I am beyond proud however, there is still so much work to do and I am up for the challenge.

In this new chapter of my career, one I like to refer to as Wallis for Wellness 2.0, I am focused even more on sharing my clinical experience and using my extensive media background to help educate and empower people across North America by stocking their health toolbox with effective, evidence informed strategies that will improve their health esteem so they can Become the CEO of their Health.

In light of this special anniversary, it is a great honour and appropriate timing that I announce that I have been asked to be a guest on Dr. Sinicropi's podcast - Wellness at the Speed of Light Podcast, next week. 🎙 Stay tuned for details as to the date it will be released.
